Message:

Dear Colleagues:

We would love to have you join us at the 2013 Southern Political Science Conference held January 3-5 in Orlando, Florida. As Section Chair for the Internet, Technological Change, and Politics panels, I would particularly like to invite you to submit a proposal to the Internet, Technological Change and Politics section.

The ITP Section welcomes individual paper submissions, full panels, and roundtables addressing the wide range of research that engages our field at the intersection of technology and politics in the public and nonprofit sectors.  We welcome submissions that address continuing themes such as access, participation, transparency, and trust, among others. We also welcome research that addresses e-government, technology policy, and new media applications. Submissions are welcome across American, international, and comparative contexts.

I am happy to assist you in pulling together panels, roundtables, or "meet the author" events as well as demonstrations of new technology or new applications.

Additional information about the conference, call for proposals, many available travel grants, and the link to submit a proposal (due Aug. 9th, 2012) are available here: http://www.spsa.net/.

Please contact me with questions through the list or at hal...@auburn.edu. This is an exciting time for technology and politics, and a wonderful venue for the SPSA!

We look forward to seeing many of you this January in sunny Florida!
