optimality discussion

In my work, I used a manopt toolbox to solve a problem over a Stiefel manifold and I received this comment.

"The optimality of the proposed algorithm should be discussed"

Can any one help me what I have to do or what is the reviewer expect me to do?

The first question would be: which algorithm did you use? And then: to solve which task?

Then would come the question: which notion of "optimality" are we using to compare algorithms?
