Online I found 1850 Federal Census for Chatham Co., NC:
467 Mann Martha 10 F
467 Mann Ann M. 8 F
467 Mann William A. 6 M (my great grandfather)
Anyone have any idea why 3 children would be living in a house by
themselves?
Next house up is 468 with 4 Holts, Elizabeth, Mary, Alvin Ellender.

Gracy Mann (nee, Holt) is listed on the page before at the very bottom of the page. She and her three children are all in household #467.
