Hi All,
Given that Geoff and Yaffa have confirmed today that The Bridge cycle path is now open I think we should use it this week!!!

We should meet, at 10am (earlier if you need coffee), at Bay Ten Espresso (10 Middlemiss Street, Lavender Bay) which is located very close to the start of the new cycle path. I checked, it's open. After cycling over the bridge we can wizz around Darling Harbour, Anzac Bridge, Easton Park Lilyfield, Hawthorne Canal and the new Greenway Cycle Path (possibly taking a small diversion for more coffee at Sideways Cafe) and on to Cooks River, Tempe and Sydenham. Hopefully we will be able to find a cafe in and or around Sydenham for lunch (any suggestions welcome). Head home on The Metro.

We need to be aware that Thursday is forecast to be hot hot hot. High 30s. If it all looks too hard after coffee at Bay 10 we may have a rethink but hopefully we can plough on and thereby confirm these two new, important, cycle ways as regular features of future rides.

Let me know.

Tom

Sounds like a good ride Tom…..particularly in the heat …not so hot in Paris, the closest bike is a little uninviting IMG_7682.jpegIMG_7683.jpeg

I’d love to do it but 7 stitches on my arm and a hot day too would rule it out. Hopefully we will do it later in the year

Yes, Tom, I’ll join as well.

I’ll get to do a double bridge crossing from Circular Quay to Bay Ten Espresso.

Hi John,

Looks like you did the smart thing, escaping the summer heat here.

We have had similar photos from our grandson, who is studying at Sciences Po Uni.

He loves the Parisian life,

Cheers Mike

Thanks Tom et al for a great ride to the latest cycling infrastructure and to an indigenous smoke ceremony. The new bridge ramp was smooth and effortless and we all survived the heat!
