Hi all,
Next Thursday 10th Dec. Start at 9.30 Seaforth Oval. Short ride
starting at the oval, then to Captain Phillip lookout and then to
Manly Dam, Swim, lunch at the dam and back to Seaforth a different
way.
Check out the route http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Manly-Dam-Loop-GKW
Short and relaxed 22km on sealed roads. Short walk uphill to Captain
Phillip lookout for great views or forgo the view and just chat.
Bring swimmers and picnic for lunch at Manly Dam.
Tony R was going to put something like this on but as you all know he
is 'indisposed' as they say. So let this be Tony's memorial ride!

Gil Webster

PS Don't forget the swimmers and picnic complete with lashings of
ginger beer! For the modest -- you use the nearby toilet block as
change rooms.

Mate,
While my life flashed by my eye on the way to the pavement last
Thursday, I don’t feel I ready to be remembered by a ‘memorial ride’
just yet!!! Thanks for the consideration anyway....

Also was down there recently and a new shelter has been constructed
about ¾ along the road – it was a good spot for a picnic. T

Hi all,

The forecast for Thursday is 19 to 31 deg. Since the max temperature
is usually around 3pm our short gentle ride will be well and truly
over by then. It should be nowhere near 31 deg while we are on the
road. Anyway we will have a cool dip is sparkling fresh water to
revive us!

Would like to ride with you tomorrow but awaiting results of a blood test done yesterday to see if my Hemoglobin is up.
Will contact you by phone tomorrow am.
To everyone who got an email - supposedly from me advertising a website in China - I must apologise. Somehow they hacked into my Hotmail contacts file and sent the email to every address in it.
I have notified all details and a copy of the email to Microsoft and McAfee and received acknowledgment. If this happens to any of you you can email ab...@hotmail.com .

Hi Gil,
Geoff E will also be with us. I will pick him up at 0830 so we have plenty
of time to have a coffee at Seaforth ("Best Coffee in Seaforth") without
holding up the start of the ride.

Another great ride. Thanks Gil and all the providers of lunchtime goodies,
which certainly added something to my rather boring sandwiches.

Good to see you looking in such remarkably good shape Tony. The
ministrations of the horde of wonderful emergence service people were
obviously very effective.

Y'day at the Dam was most enjoyable.  Nice to meet Amy and glad the eels and black swan didn't bite - what an outstanding swimming spot.   Tony -   that cake with the walnuts was beautiful.      LR
