2026 is the 150yrs anniversary of Walter Burley Griffin's birth, let's view some of his North Shore work.
A ride to view- An  incinerator in Willoughby; open bushland in Middle Cove and his architecture in Castle Crag. 
Firstly ride along Flat Rock cycle path in Willoughby to view the Walter Burley Griffin/Nicholson designed Incinerator. Then ride to Middle Cove peninsula to experience bush land settings, and at the headland look out across Sugarloaf Bay to view Willis Castle in Castle Cove. Ride on and down the second peninsula Castle Crag, to see Walter Burley Griffin own house and some others of  his design, community pathways and reserves. Coffee

After which, ride the back roads across Willoughby to return to Naremburn shops via  Artamon Cordelia cycleway. 

Start/Finish: 10am. Naremburn Shops, Rohan/Willoughby Rd. Parking available in Slade St, then cross over Freeway on share bridge to shops and start location.  

Distance: approx  20km.  A mix of main roads and cycle paths plus a couple of do-able hills . 50metres of rough track. Not a long ride but could be up to 3 hours duration.

Coffee: Castle Crag . 

Lunch, good choice of cafe /eateries at Naremburn shops for light lunch if desired at the end of the ride.
