Indoor Ultimate: Spring Session -- BIG CHANGES

The Manitowoc Park & Rec Dept has granted us the gym for a 10-week
spring session, from March 24 to May 26. This is on WEDNESDAYS, not
Thursdays anymore. Also, the sessions will be 3 hours now instead of
just 2.

Another big change is going to be cost. In order to remove a major
hassle each night, the MPRD has decided to require pre-registration
and payment for the entire season. The spring season will cost $29.
You must have all paperwork and payment at the MPRD office or sign up
online before you can play. This helps the staff with not having to
count money and chase people down each night. The cost is a little
higher, but we're getting an extra hour each night, so it's less than
$1 per hour to play some sweet indoor.

Second big change with cost is that the MUFC has decided that it can
only cover the cost of Manitowoc county students. It simply doesn't
have the funds to keep covering everyone from Sheboygan as it has
been, largely due to having to cancel the 2009 ManHat tournament.
Hopefully you Sheboygan students can still make it, but you'll have to
pay your own way for now.

The current (winter) season will end on Thurs March 18. After that
we'll be switching to March 24.

Please reply to me and let me know if you prefer 6-9pm sessions or
7-10pm sessions.

The indoor ultimate Spring session registration is now available
online. It is course #10886 in the MPRD eConnect system. Hopefully
this link will take you right there:

You need to register with the system if you haven't already. If you
have registered online for the summer hat tournament, this is the same
system and you'll already have an account. Once registered you can
sign up for the course and pay by credit card. I believe that signing
up online is also an implicit agreement to the liability waiver, but
I'll have to confirm that when I sign up.

Jeremy sent us an email saying that the 18th was volleyball so the
11th is the last date. I've updated the events on the MUFC calendar
and facebook events.

Otherwise everyone can read this, so now you know. Thursday March
11th is the last day of the winter session. Next session starts two
weeks later on Wednesday March 24th. Wednesday sessions are 3 hours
long from 7pm-10pm.

Just a reminder to everyone that is interested in playing in the
Spring session starting next week Wednesday.

You MUST register and pay in advance. You can register online on the
MPRD eConnect system. The direct link to the Spring ultimate course

You can also go down to the MPRD offices in the same building as the
gym/roller rink during normal business offers.

I believe you can also register over the phone at (920) 683-4530,
you'll probably need to pay by credit card, but they may be able to
make other arrangements with you.

You CAN NOT register or pay at the Ultimate sessions. Your
registration and payment MUST be completed before you can step onto
the gym floor. We will not be handling money anymore at these
sessions.

So, if you are going to register, please do so ASAP. There is always
a chance that the MPRD will cancel the season if we don't have enough
registrations to cover their costs. I'm hoping we can get at least 10
paying customers. It's only $29 for 10 3-hour sessions. Sounds like a
great deal. High schoolers will get re-imbursed the full cost after
playing 8 sessions. What's not to love.
