We (Harvest Moon) have finalized the details for a few of our courses this summer.  In particular, please check out the details for our Permaculture Design CertificateWilderness Skills and our Soil Food Web Intensive courses.

Details for our Forest Gardening, Root Cellar Building, Rainwater System Design/Build, Greywater System Design/Build and Deconstruction/Reconstruction workshops are still being finalized.

If you are a farmer (or endeavour to be one), you may be eligible for funding through the agri-excellence program and some of these workshops should be eligible for full funding (one of last year's permaculture students had their course fees fully funded).

Let us know if you have any questions.

P.S. We are working on planning a spring fling/ work bee that we hope will be a festive and open event...save the date...tell your friends....if you want to help and in particular if you'd like to run a micro-workshop as a part of the event, let us know and we can work with you to make it happen.

Spring Fling, Work Bee and Micro-Workshops
June 1-3 - Harvest Moon Learning Centre,
Clearwater, MB

The Harvest Moon Society, located in Clearwater Manitoba, is developing a three acre demonstration site for permaculture, sustainable living and sustainable agriculture. Join us for a weekend of fun, learning and community. Participants will dig, build, plant and learn through a variety of hands-on 'micro-workshops' that tentatively include: Pond building; Swale digging; Prairie restoration; Chicken moat building; Butchering; Forest gardening; Tree planting; Birdhouse placement; and more!  Plan to get your hands dirty, to eat well and to listen to good live music. Participants should bring a tent, snacks, a water bottle and work clothes. More details will be available at www.harvestmoonsociety.org closer to the date.

Thanks for the update Colin, on what appears to be an exciting upcoming summer. I'm still waiting to hear from HM however, about a rumoured straw bale building workshop. What news?
