Saturday 23 June - Earthbag stemwall

Hey guys,

 

If any of you like to do lots and lots of work, then you're in luck! I'm at a new stage of building my straw bale garage that takes lots and lots of work - the earthbag stem wall. Filling sandbags with sand and cement, then RAMMING them with a tamper until they're hard. I have about 600 to do - give or take 100. Probably "give".

 

If that sounds like fun to you, then you'll probably have an appointment with a psychiatrist on Saturday - and you should go. If it sounds like hell, you probably wouldn't be any fun to work with and you'll drink all my beer. BUT... if you want to find out what earthbag building is like and La Broquerie isn't too far for you, then come on down! Saturday 23 June 9:00am 'til you leave. I will have beer and food. And water, maybe.
