NY Times Joins the Manistee Debate Watch Party!

MANISTEE COUNTY DEMOCRATS:

I just got off the phone with Anna Foley who is a producer for the New York Times Daily podcast (Anna Foley - The New York Times).  She wanted to know a lot about Manistee County and our current political situation, especially in regard to the US Senate primary race between Haley Stevens and Abdul El Sayed.  She saw our social media posts about Monday night's debate watch party at the Manistee County Dems office on River Street and asked if it would be OK for her and two others to join us as observers and perhaps interview attendees to get their impressions of the debate and the race. 

I agreed to have them join us, and I hope this will cause even more of you to plan to be there to watch with your friends who may or may not support the same Democratic candidate for US Senate.  We believe that this debate will tell us even more about each candidate, and our discussions about what we saw in the debate will help us all become better educated as voters in the August 4 primary.  Bring along a friend who is may be undecided on who to vote for on August 4.
