I know many of you are concerned about data centers coming to rural Michigan.  Please consider investing your time in attending this webinar. We all need to educate ourselves by hearing from non-partisan, highly respected subject matter experts on this issue.

The best path forward will be to develop well-crafted regulations at the lowest level of local governments that are focused on protecting our environment, electricity bills, and rural lifestyle. Local moratoriums are just kicking the can down the road, giving more time for the big tech billionaires to sweeten the offer and bend the ears of the township trustees and county commissioners.

Hi, friends. Hoping to catch you before you head into our chilly, wet Memorial Day weekend. Attached is a flyer (adaptable to social media) inviting you to a webinar on June 4, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, meant to help us get our arms around the set of regulations we need if we're to develop data centers safely. All are welcome. Here's the additional blurb:

States across the country are facing urgent questions about data centers: energy demand, water use, utility cost, land use, and climate impact. Join us for a conversation about what smart data center regulation should look like in Michigan.
