A major focus of the Manistee County Democratic Party in 2026 is to help educate voters, so they are able to make good decisions about candidates and issues.  The information below about the opportunity to learn the FACTS about the dangerous SAVE Act being considered in Washington is a great opportunity. This is especially meaningful to women of my era who took the last name of their husbands when they married.  The SAVE Act will make it harder for you to register to vote!

As Congress moves quickly toward a potential vote on the SAVE America Act, RepresentWomen is hosting a timely, public educational webinar to help unpack what this proposal would do in practice, and what’s at stake for voter access and women’s political representation.

Tomorrow, February 10, from 7:30–8:30 PM ET, we’ll bring together election and democracy experts alongside Members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus, including Chairwoman Teresa Leger Fernández (NM-03) and Representative Delia Ramirez (IL-03), for a fact-based, nonpartisan conversation about how the SAVE Act could affect participation, representation, and democratic inclusion.
