Tickets are still available for the Don and Marge Jennings Award Dinner starting at 5pm on Saturday August 15 in the big white tent at the Manistee National Golf Resort!
We will be honoring Eric Lampinen for his dedicated work with many Manistee County organizations to bring social, economic, and environmental justice to everyone.
Our keynote speaker will be Eli Savit, candidate for Michigan Attorney General. Eli has been to Manistee County several times prior to the primary election and we know his to be a very inspiring and charismatic speaker who will definitely light the fire for
us to get out and work hard for candidates up and down the ballot in the November 3rd election.
We are also honored to be joined by Megan Cavanagh, Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, and Michigan Supreme Court Justice Noah Hood who will both be on the November ballot seeking to remain in their important positions providing a true meaning to
the rule of law in Michigan. They will be able to update us on the recent decision to rescind the Enbridge pipeline tunnel permit and require more stringent work by the Michigan Public Utilities Commission.
We will also hear from regional candidates for Michigan Senate Rebecca Amidon and Mark Yonkman as well as candidates for Michigan House April Coon and Mitch Distin.
There will be many items on the silent auction tables as well as some outstanding live auction items to bid on. Tickets for a 50/50 drawing will also be sold. All money raised at this event is dedicated to supporting candidates running for office in Manistee
County.
You can also pay be check or cash at the door on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you at this event!
