Dear Fellow Manistee Democrats,
Due to the air quality from the Canada and other fires' smoke over Michigan and our area in particular, we reluctantly cancel our Onekama Dems Picnic.
The Events Committee will be rescheduling this popular event, so stay tuned for the announcement coming soon!

Hello Manistee Dems,
Hope you are being careful. We once again are looking for our N95 masks. Climate change continues to be a threat. With that in mind I wanted to invite any candidate for public office who would be interested in presenting their views about responding to environmental issues and climate change to contact me directly. We can provide an opportunity to present their thoughts, concerns and solutions on October 24th, 2026 at the Great Lakes Environmental Festival which will be held at West Shore Community College. This year the focus is on One Earth.

One Earth and Population Health
One Earth is a philosophical concept emphasizing the uniqueness and fragility of our shared planet. Population health is an approach that aims to improve the health outcomes, equity, and well-being of an entire group of individuals, rather than just treating single patients. It goes beyond medical care to address the broad socioeconomic, behavioral, and environmental factors that drive health. Population health is improved by adopting the One Earth concept.
