Given our current "war", the change of the Defense Department to the Department of War, numerous ICE incidents involving assault and even death, international attacks on alleged "drug boats causing death, "and the multiple presidential comments touting violent action against "enemies," the violation of international law with the attacks of Venezuela and Iran, and the apparant support of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the increase in anti-semitism and animosity toward immigrants and people of color, the continued prevalance of school shootings, the massive increase in gun ownership, and the incidence of child abuse, assault and rape, we might consider an informationl event on violence in the 21st Centry and what we might do about it on a local level. Violence has become the first option whenever there is a confrontation.

Lee,
An informational discussion is an excellent idea, and I would be more than pleased to help you set this up.

Thank you for re-iterating the “facts.”
It is  so important that we know others think like we do.
Notice the word ‘think’ ⚡️.

I would be open to this for an informational meeting. Does anybody have any suggestions as to who we should reach out to as far as an expert/speaker?

Are we seeking personal or political remedies for the problem?

I believe it is alright to support an informational aspect. These are significant issues in our county and the more we know the better we can support organizations struggling locally to meet these issues. They do it in a non political manner.

If you want to make change in these areas then you need to grass root a process for policy change, or to address current poor enforcement of policy causing lack of funding.

You might consider a panel discussion that looks at the traumatic implications of abuse and neglect on our citizens via actions levied by the Trump Administration. As this is an election year and it appears that the items of concern point directly to DJT having manufactured them, how is the Bandaid approach going to fix the abuse and neglect he’s dishing out to the people? He has his hand on the controls and is siphoning out the U.S. Treasury for cockamamie schemes like his Peace Board while our citizens are harassed, maimed, and murdered without any apparent consequences. He’s abusing and neglecting our people as we watch helpless while the U.S. House of Reps refuses to pull the choke chain on the mad man.
I wrote an article a few months ago entitled, “Unveiled: Citizen Abuse & Neglect.” In it I draw parallels between our current government’s abuse and neglect with child abuse and neglect and the ensuing trauma to the victims. We are all being traumatized by this madman and his administration’s abusive and neglectful actions to our people. I worked for 15 years lobbying on behalf of increased public funding for the proven programs aimed at increasing family functioning to reduce child abuse and neglect.   There is a cost-benefit associated with helping families that is amazing. Similarly, helping or hurting our people has lasting implications. I’m concerned that the trauma our citizens are experiencing because of the abuse and neglect will have significant and irreversible damage on our people — scarred for life!
