Subject: This Saturday: Day of Action protest at Baldwin Detention Center
To:

Friends,

This Saturday, April 25 is the National Day of Action. People across the country will join voices to say: No ICE, No Detention Centers, Stop the Cruelty.

Manistee Indivisible will rally at a detention center in our backyard: The GEO North Lake Processing Center in Baldwin, where detainees recently launched a hunger strike to protest dangerous conditions and long stays.

The Baldwin facility is a 52 minute drive from downtown Manistee. We will plan to meet there at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
Anybody who wants to carpool or caravan should meet in the Manistee Congregational Church parking lot at 12:00.

For those traveling on their own, the address is: GEO North Lake Processing Center, 1805 W 32nd St, Baldwin, MI 49304.

Once there, look for me wearing a large floppy blue sunhat.

To recap: Rally at Baldwin Detention Center. Meet at 1:00 in Baldwin or 12:00 at the church in Manistee to carpool.

See you there!

Elana
