Many of you may have already received this email from Rebecca Amidon's campaign for the Michigan state Senate in District 32. As my all-time favorite TV huckster says, "But wait, there's more!"
Yes, now Rebecca's personal cell phone is receiving calls from young children who call her a pedophile and use her children's names when she answers! Some of these youngsters have trouble pronouncing the word pedophile!
What kind of society have we become when children are obviously coached by their parents to make calls like this? How can a county sheriff elected to provide safety and security to all residents stand by and let this type of harassment be carried on in his
name? How can Mason County taxpayers condone the use of the person who answers their Sheriff's office phone being used as a campaign tool?
This is a prime example of the deceptive tactics being implemented by the slime dwellers covered in the dirty orange tint of their dear leader that we are up against on November 3rd! When you are too lazy or too complacent to develop viable solutions to the
problems facing voters, you resort to name-calling and misinformation just like every other candidate running under this corrupt regime that used to be a respectable political party.
The best response we all can offer at this time is to join me and make another donation to Rebecca Amidon's campaign so she can continue to communicate her specific action plans and her positive messages for a better future when we send her to Lansing. This

I never thought I’d have to write this, John. But my opponent — the local sheriff — just put out a hit piece on me.
And they mailed my personal cell phone number to tens of thousands of people.

I understand the fear that in an emergency, your family won’t be able to make it fast enough to a hospital five counties away to get lifesaving care.
And for every person who called me, despite our differences, we were able to have authentic, productive conversations — something my opponent would tell you isn't possible.
Some of them decided to vote for me, John. Some of them didn’t, and most weren’t sure.
But when we have real conversations about the kitchen table issues we’re all facing,
we find real common ground.
