MANISTEE COUNTY DEMOCRATS!

You will be receiving this email in time to join us at the Outsider restaurant on River Street in downtown Manistee from 4-6pm Sunday to explore the opportunities to just DO SOMETHING with the Manistee County Democratic Party to help us win big in November.  Our standing committee chairs will each have a table and are looking forward to talking with you about how you can help do their good work in 2026!  Bring the kids!  They can play free pinball games while Mom and Dad learn about how they can pitch in to make a better life for all children!  Nothing better than friends, family, and food!
Put Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 5:30pm, at WSCC-Manistee on your calendar to join the Manistee County League of Women Voters and guests for a Community Conversation about the importance of voting, changes in voting registration, how to be an informed voter and how to get involved in encouraging others to vote.
One of the most important missions of the LWV is to educate citizens and encourage them to participate in democracy by VOTING!  This Community Conversation will focus on learning how to encourage young people to take part in the democratic process.
Remember: “Democracy is not a spectator sport!

We will be back at the West Shore Community College Manistee Campus at 7pm on Thursday, February 19th to conduct the 2026 Manistee County Convention and Straw Poll.  All are welcome to attend and participate in the Straw Poll to determine who the Democrats in Manistee County prefer to be selected to be on the November ballot for Michigan Attorney General and Michigan Secretary of State. We will also be hearing from candidates both live and over ZOOM so you can make better informed decisions at the state convention in April and the ballot box in November.
The Manistee County Democratic Party office at 319 River Street will be hopping with our soon-to-be-famous BLUE STEW chili as part of the Manistee Downtown Development Association.  We will be serving samples from 1-4pm Saturday, February 21st.  Come out and join the crowds along River Street as you sample the concoctions and try to avoid the heartburn!

We are very happy to report that funding is already coming in to support the two billboards that will be put up on US31 in both directions in Manistee starting at the end of June through the end of October. See the locations above.
We are still accepting ideas for the billboard art.  Please email your ideas that should be impactful, concise, and able to be read from a car going 40MPH to Eric Lampinen at lampi...@gmail.com.
Thanks to those who have already stepped up.  We hope more of you will find this to be a good investment in support of a strong Democrat showing up and down the ballot in November.  Please use this safe, secure link to donate using your credit card:  https://www.manisteecountydemocrats.us/donations.html#!form/Donations
Or you can mail a check to PO Box 65 Manistee, MI 49660.
