MANISTEE COUNTY DEMOCRATS:

We hope you are excited to attend the 2026 MCDP County Convention on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 7pm in the West Shore Community College building on River Street in downtown Manistee.  

If you have a resolution to present to the convention, please use the attached MSWord document as a template and email your resolution to MCDP Secretary Sarah Stevenson at smste...@protonmail.com no later than Monday, February 16, 2026.  

We will be holding a straw poll at the convention to help us allocate the 13 votes Manistee County will have to cast at the Michigan Democratic Party state convention on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Detroit.  A Democratic candidate for Michigan Attorney General and Michigan Secretary of State will be selected at this convention.  

To prepare for the straw poll, we are providing information on the Democratic candidates that will be considered at the convention.  We are also including information on Democratic candidates for US Representative from the Second Congressional District that will be selected in the August primary election.

(Each candidate must collect 1,500 signatures to be on the August primary ballot)
