We are excited to invite you to our Saturday, February 7 film/speaker program at WSCC Manistee Campus Building, 400 River St., from 2 to 4 pm!!

Program highlights include a showing of a new documentary film, “Did You Guys Eat?” by Alma College Professor Stephany Slaughter and her team of staff and students. The film is a powerful story of the challenges local farmers and farmworkers face in getting food to our tables.

Professor Slaughter will be on hand to introduce the film and to offer some insights into its production.

Local farmers from Grossnickle and Z&N farms, along with migrant liaison workers from our area, will share their reflections on a panel discussion following the film.

Local Asian restaurant Rice and Shine will be providing refreshments!

This event is free of charge and is cosponsored by the WSCC HumanKind Program, and MARJDI, Manistee Area Racial Justice & Diversity Initiative, a fiscally-sponsored program of the Manistee County Community Foundation!
