Here are a some of the great opportunities for you to get out, get active, and get engaged with community service this week!
The Feeding America Food Truck will be at the Lakeshore Church (behind Burger King) at 10am on Wednesday September 24. Come help us distribute groceries to the 400+ food insecure families in Manistee County that depend on this monthly food distribution program. Many hands make light work and we are typically done by 12 noon.
Highway Litter Cleanup. Our third and final cleanup of the year will be Saturday, September 27th starting at 9:00 am. We will meet up at Highway 31 and Maidens Road, have a quick safety briefing then start cleaning both sides of the highway. Since we just did the full length of this stretch in July, there shouldn't be much trash so we should be done within and a hour to hour and a half. Snacks and water will be available. Saturday PopUp Protest. After the highway litter cleanup you can join us at the intersection of US31 and First Street in Manistee at 12 noon every Saturday. Bring your signs and your smiles to greet the cars passing by. Your presence shows people that Democrats care about them and our country. We will be done by 12:45pm and you will help spread hope and positive vibes for the future of our democracy!
