I believe he was called by the protester from Baldwin who has been there every Saturday since North Lake opened — remarkable. The Sheriff didn’t show up while we were there. This group of “regulars” handed out snacks to visitors leaving the center. In case some of don’t know, the official name of the center has changed from the NL Detention Center to the NL Processing Center. This was a deliberate change allowing them to no longer have rules about how long detainees can be kept there. Those leaving last Saturday reported that it was very cold inside.
