Every working person wants to find that close to a perfect company of her. And it took me more than a year of company hopping before I found mine. For the first time in my working life, I didn't file my resignation letter right after I got regularized and saw myself serving the company for longer than I thought. I could finally tell myself to stay put because I felt that I'm meant for this team and this company :)
When I applied for the position of Reporting Analyst in the DRM Analytics team on IHG, it was SAS programming that attracted me the most. I love coding so I figured I could try my luck. And so now, I am able to do one of the things that I love doing, but that was just as they might say 'tip of the iceberg' of what the DRM and IHG have in store for me. Trainings and opportunities were provided to me by my superiors, which honed me into the Analyst that I am today. I also got exposed to handling stakeholders through emails and phone calls. And got the chance to be in touch with them in a more personal level since I got to joke around and converse with them beyond reports and work related stuff :)
But the best part of being in the team is the people you get to be with! In my opinion, this team has it all, from the most talented and smart beings who still manages to stay simple to those gorgeous looking who can eat tons and tons of free food whenever possible. And I should add, a day will not end without getting a good laugh from the jokes cracked during simple conversation over "breaks" (though some I admit will be the corniest that you'll ever hear, only during rare occasions but this goes with the package :) ). As cliche as it may sound, I really look forward to going to the office everyday because I get to see the second family that I came to know after more than a year being in the company. My family got bigger, because I got additional ate's and kuya's from another parents and I also became an ate to those younger than me. Ika nga ng nakakararami, hindi lang team ang Business Analytics, it's more like a family, and I totally agree.
Thank you, IHG and Analytics family for a wonderful experience that you allowed me to have. You'll be forever be part of my life and I will definitely have a smile on my face whenever I reminisce the time we spent together :)
