Greetings MTC-

Recently had a request via fb to see what running groups are in
Charlotte. Friend of a friend has moved to the area, runs marathons,
and looking for folks to run with. Any suggestions? Thoughts?

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend!
Laura

In the University area, there is University City Road Runners (UCRR) - There
is a Yahoo group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ucrun with some notes on
the group home page.

I'm not sure about running clubs, but they could probably find a running group on meetup.com.  Like Charlotte Runners for example:

University Roadrunners
Meets 7 am each Saturday morning at Caribou Coffee parking lot on Mallard
Creek Church Road. (Exit 46 off I-85, go west 1.5 mile, Caribou on right)
Usually 15-20 runners meet for anywhere from 6 miles to 20 mile runs.
Nearly all are training for a marathon or Tri.
Meets after run in Caribou for beverage and talk.
