Ionly have an iv4 wired connection. Is there anything that i haven't tried to to get this working? It will dissconect from the server at random with no warning, the connection appears stable until it disconnects. At this time it's still connected to Xbox live. I also haven't contacted my isp but i haven't had any problems with that

I have the same issues but I can connect say 1 in 5 servers. Just the other 4 servers won't let me giving the error attached in the image. Server disconnected. Connection to EA online timed out. Your network bandwidth and/or network latency may not meet the requirements for this game.

Not attacking u but u should choose better friends. Dice isnt ur friend and neither is Ea. Nice that u tried to offer up assistance but this is ea problem. If u on live and keep losong connection to game server its not xbox issue. Why do people think losing connection to ea server means ur connection is bad. U still on xbox live so whats wrong with connection. Port forward doesnt help nor does clearing cache or reinstalling game and factory reset of console. Its the game not u or ur connection. Good luc

That's exactally what I thought. I was playing the game happily for months then bam update and serious issues, I can't tell if there were any updates or hot fixes in the time before I tried a new modem but like you said, is he on server side, every other game I play on live was fine...

Hello everyone. Two months ago my game was working perfectly without any problems on Origin. At that time I bought EA Play on Steam and took a break from the game for a while. After my subscription to EA Play expired, I wanted to come back to BF3. Now I always get the same error when joining a server "Game disconnected: you are missing content from the game." I believe it has to do something with DLC's because when I check "Extra Content" I can notice that Back to Karkand is "Unlocked" while all other DLC's show as "Installed". It somehow got messed up after I purchased EA Play. Can someone help me to fix this problem?

@EA_Atic Could you please look into my issue, I've been waiting for the last few days. I also contacted live chat support, but no help from them. I've seen your replies on others posts with this issue and you somehow fixed it. Thank you.

BF1 Server Issues, - Beating the Dead Horse -

So, just started playing the game, I would expect things to bit smoother but alas it seems this is a prevalent issue.

Join a game, play for 2-5 minutes than 'You have been disconnected from server' Proceed to rinse and repeat till I get bored.

So I am going to state this here. If someone has an ANSWER please post it. Going through endless comments about people having the same issue makes it more annoying than being DCed.

This is a PC issue. Please only provide solutions. Thank you.

I am really sorry, you have this issue with the game. There can be a lot of reasons for bad connection issue, so let`s just start with the most common connection issues. Have you tried to restart your router? Connect your router and PC with the cable?

I have not tried a wired connection yet. I am wireless.

What I tired with no success:

1)Cold Boot of router

2) Cold Boot w/ port forwarding and cold boot of Comp.

I have not done anything too technical due in part my lack of understanding of computing nuts n' bots. My idea behind computers is that 'its made to work, it should'. I have no other issue with games/programs with this machine or my connection so you can imagine I am bit peeved. But at least you are the first person to actually address the issue with solid answers instead of the tens of other posts of everyone bandwagoning. So thank you.

That link should be a pinned marker to the technical forums that addresses this (from my understanding) widespread issue. I will give a read through your provided info and try a wired connection.

Thank you for reporting back. Let me know if the cable connection with your router makes any difference. I know how it annoying it can be with any PC, a ton of different customization options makes if very difficult to pin point each issue. I would also advise you to try the Clean Boot option, Microsoft has a very nice guide on doing this.

this seems to be happening last few days where its spiradic, play a game, next map disconnected and cannot connect, bf4 no issues, have rebooted both router and pc but shouldn't have to, there are high pings, sometimes extremely high pings, what gives? DICE, before making BF1 pretty, how about correcting these existing problems.

Take someone who is on top of a winning team with 2x scores the player under him, before the team wins, he was called downstairs and so he left his computer, when he came back 10 minutes later, he find himself disconnected for being inactive and gain no rewards at all for all the sweat he did throughout the match. This is even worse when he has a booster on.

I would suggest the game to see the statistics of the player before kicking them, see if they have done enough to be not kicked or the opposite. Matches in Enlisted can go very long, invasion or destruction can take 30-40 minutes or even more and the chances of a player being called or need to be disturbed is unavoidable.

I would take responsibility for my action for being AFK for I think would be less than 10 minutes but apparently not, but I would expect the game to give me or other people who are F2P like me to get a 0.7x XP or have mercy on me because I have done well in the match, capping 2 to 3 points, and let my team go for the rest with 800 tickets left.

ERROR

could not join server

Im sick and tired of this bull crap. Im constantly getting disconnected from a game mid way through, and I cant seem to go more than one full game before getting disconnected again. My connection is fine and Im sure of that.

I believe that this is a server side issue, and not mine.

If anyone has this same problem or a fix, please speak up

EA/DICE better fix this soon, or I want my money

Since December 20th, I have experienced the most unusual connection issue. Every couple of days (sometimes 2-3 days in a row), my Internet connection drops entirely while trying to play Battlefield 4. It started happening after midnight up until roughly 6 AM and was fine after that but the problem soon began to occur at all hours of the day.

A brief summary of what happens when the issue arises: Sudden noticeable and then heavy lag causes me to be disconnected from the game server (including EA's online service) and Xbox LIVE, at which point the Internet for my home drops altogether (total connection loss for all devices in the home). I have to wait 1/2 minutes for it to recover and reconnect. This issue relates to Battlefield 4 only - and I'm sure of this as I can play any other game (including Battlefield 3) online without any problems after my Internet disconnects due to Battlefield 4. So again, the issue arises with this game and this game only.

I thought it was isolated to the Xbox 360 but the same happens when I'm trying to play on PC. On top of that, a friend of mine purchased an Xbox One and the same is happening to him on that platform (he also gets booted offline on Xbox 360). The thing is, he resides in the United States whereas I do not, so this is obviously not just a Virgin Media-related issue. A group of my friends in the US (different ISPs to each other) suffer from this issue along with me.

We contacted Microsoft but they told us to talk to the publisher (EA), who had me run a bunch of tests and open ports, etc which did not help (if port forwarding was the issue, we wouldn't be able to play at all). I even went as far as getting in touch with the game developer (DICE, owned by EA) and the "go to" guy for such problems at the company said he had no idea what was causing this and therefore could not help. We have no where left to turn and so I hope somebody here can help.

I'm sure I'm missing one or two more things I've tried here but rest assured, I've exhausted everything that I could think of. As stated previously, this happens to my friends in the USA, too. If we're playing together when the issue occurs, we all get kicked off one after the other. I know it is not strictly related to my ISP, but if anyone has any idea why this is happening or at least has something else for me to try, please let me know.

As of the past 2 weeks or so, I'm no longer getting kicked offline when trying to play on PC but the issue persists on Xbox 360. To add to this, a friend of mine moved house and got a new ISP but still suffers. My plan is to install a 2nd network card into my PC and connect my console to it, then bridge that connection to my PC's primary network adapter and try to play that way and hope to get kicked while Wireshark is capturing on the console's network adapter in order to see what happens before/during/after the disconnect. However, I'm thinking that seeing as I can play fine on PC now, playing on console through my PC's NIC may allow me to stay online without problems. This connection method (dual NICs) is not ideal for my friends, however.

based on your description I conclude: a bug in the EA game server or their networking equipment (router, firewall, load balancer, etc.). As they have no idea how their system works what causes the problem (see your comments), you have no way to fix it yourself. Switching ISP and network cards won't help. Unless a lot more people are affected by the problem, EA won't do anything due to a bad cost/efficiency ratio. So your best option for now: Play a different game.
