problem discoverd with ~/.gvfs directory

Manent is failing to backup my home directory.

I may be able to shed some light on this.
There is a known problem with gvfs (gnome virtual filesystem) on
ubuntu.

Bottom line. Sadly it is normal for "stat" to fail, even when you are
root.
It looks like we have to live with this.

Maybe it is possible to chage manent so that when stat fails, that the
backup continues, just skipping this file, and reporting it in the
error log, along with other "file type not recognized" messages?

Yes, it's definitely not OK for manent to fail if it can't access a file.
Please send me the stack trace (it should have been printed) of a failing file, so that  I can make a fix.
