Java Developer
Location: NYC
6+ Months
PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Involved with the application development, administration, and requirement
analysis.
Continuously enhance knowledge as per project/organizational need and share
information/ knowledge at all levels.
Keep pace with demanding operational responsibilities to meet schedules,
deliveries and quality expectations.
This individual will participate with cross-functional team of professionals to
provide technical architecture, design and development and act as a technical
guide for subordinates.
Documentation as per standards and guidelines and completion of periodic task
status reports.
Demonstrate responsiveness towards peers and other functional areas.
Independently handle assigned tasks with minimum guidance.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
4-5 years of hands on
experience in Java EE and related technologies such as Java 6, JSP, JSTL,
Spring 3 framework, Web Services.
1-2 years of hands on experience in using JQuery core specially for ajax, DOM
manipulation and JSON and XML processing
Candidates should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills
with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Ability to not only work well with others in a team-based environment but also
take on a leadership role in a collaborative environment.
Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills are a must.
DESIRED SKILLS:
The following skills are not required, but considered a plus.
Familiarity with Ant, Oracle SQL and Linux OS.
Experience with Tomcat, Apache and SVN source control
Educational Requirement: Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work
experience, in Computer Science or related field preferred.
