Hello

The good news is all the mandalas seems to be working, I think there is one with a dead spot but that's for another day, I have a similar problem as Caleb Hoover. The templates downloaded from The mandala Tumblr site seem to work,  But tying to assign the mandalas ( I have 6) is very frustrating. I plug one in to the powered usb and it goes to wherever it wants, and it also seems zones disappear. Also two notes will play in the same zone at times. The obvious question is the templates. Are they designed to work with battery 4? Do I have to calibrate the drums or return them to factory settings? Im running 4 V2 and 2 version 2.9. Im running a newer MacBook pro so that's why Im not using battery 3. Its not high sierra but I don't think it will accommodate battery 3. I'm hoping native instruments will eventually answer me if the updates they made will allow it to work.

Which version of the pads are you using?  I have both the purple pads and the grey pads. I use the older version of control burst to get the purple pads calibrated correctly, and for the grey pads, I use the newest Virtual Brain's built in Control Burst.

It sounds to me like you might need to calibrate them using Control Burst first, which will assign zones to the pads that can be understood by other programs; and when doing so, make sure you assign a specific MIDI channel for each pad. Then you can set up your grid in battery 3 or 4. The template I created for myself looks like this:

MIDI Channel 1 (PAD 1)

C3/C3

C#3/C#3

D3/D3

D#3/D#3

E3/E3

F3/F3

F#3/F#3

MIDI Channel 2 (PAD 2)

C3/C3

C#3/C#3

D3/D3

D#3/D#3

E3/E3

F3/F3

F#3/F#3

MIDI Channel 3 (PAD 3)

C3/C3

C#3/C#3

D3/D3

D#3/D#3

E3/E3

F3/F3

F#3/F#3

MIDI Channel 4 (PAD 4)

C3/C3

C#3/C#3

D3/D3

D#3/D#3

E3/E3

F3/F3

F#3/F#3

MIDI Channel 5 (PAD 5)

C3/C3

C#3/C#3

D3/D3

D#3/D#3

E3/E3

F3/F3

F#3/F#3

Or if you wanted, you can make 1 cell for one pad....so a cell for pad 1 might be: MIDI channel 1 (C3/F#3).  The possibilities are basically endless from there, because you can have the same MIDI channel and note trigger unlimited samples at simultaneously.  It's all up to you and what you're trying to conquer from there.

Let me know if this DOESN'T help, and might be of some more assistance.

I don't know if that helps.

Hey man
Thanks for the reply. So yeah I am running both the purple and grey, a total of six. I was just trying to make a new kit (stinkfist) with a blank template and changing key ranges, and it was treating the two pads like hey were one, even when I made different ranges, it triggered the same cell in battery along with the original cell. I guess my main question is will the template on Mandala's Tublr  for battery 3 supposed to work with 4? I will try to mess with the template again, if no luck I guess I will get control burst again and attempt to recalibrate. I sent you a request on FB by the way.
Thanks
