Event ticketing

My friends and I organise a car show with about 5000 visitors.  In the past we had a cash gate but now we need to go to online ticket sales via our WP website.  

Does anyone have any pointers for this?  A plugin to use? Or a company that will handle everything inc the staff with Bar/QR Code readers to man our gate. (Cheshire)

Not Wordpress, but we've used Eventbrite for a lot of events - there is obviously a cost (which can be absorbed by the organiser or passed onto the user), but it comes with an app which can 'scan in' people attending, and see who has bought tickets etc - and supports mobile ticketing.

There may be Wordpress solutions but may not have the flex or features as specialised firms like Eventbrite.
