Hello,
I'm safely back in Manchester now (and have bumped into some of you!).
I think I mentioned before that I'd like to advertise the group to new
people at the end of Reading Week (comments, criticisms?) but before
that I'd like to see whether anything still works, and spend some time
remembering how to use Coq. Today I'd like to do two things:
1) Ask people when they would like to have the regular meeting. Here's
a Doodle poll
http://doodle.com/k6zdzxnacwmknw8e (ignore the fact that
there are specific dates) . Monday is a bit awkward for me now,
because I'd like to go to a regular event at 6 *, which means I'd need
to leave a bit early. If you have similar quibbles about a day, you
can select the bracketed "(yes)" option (like I've done), and perhaps
email the list. If anyone wants to broaden the available times, let me
know.
2) Do some reconnaissance -- I'm going to go to our room (G23) today
at 5 to see if it's free, and to see what still works and what doesn't
after the IT overhaul which happened over the summer. Anyone is
welcome to join me on this adventure! (but it might not be
particularly interesting).
Joe

The thoughts that a society is running a course, and that people are
going to a zero credit course are just too exciting to pass up on!
