Hi everyone,

Reading for the 17th of October is sections 1.5 and 1.6 ( of
http://folli.loria.fr/cds/1999/library/pdf/curry-howard.pdf ).

We should also discuss any exercises which anybody does from section
1.7

See you soon :)

Hello all,

Sorry I couldn't make Monday's meeting - had to see a cannon. How did it go? Did we discuss any of the exercises?

After the previous session I decided I wanted to be clear on the proof of Church Rosser so I've started typing up a proof for my own pleasure - which I will share when I get round to finishing it. Also, if people do have a go at any of the exercises I think it'll be a good learning experience on both sides to share these.

Did we decide what to read for next week?

Giles

Hi Giles,

Sorry I had such a delay in replying -- I have some minutes which I'll
email tonight. We didn't choose reading, and I'm tempted to suggest that
we have a week without, but with a discussion on the lambda calculus again
to make sure everyone is up to speed -- only about half of us were around
last time.

I'm excited for your proof of Church-Rosser -- especially if it will have
pictures :)

Joe
