Hello all,

Just a quick note to say that I think we've decided to wind down the
Reading Group for this term due to upcoming exams and general
busyness.

I think we did really well covering the material we got through, I
definitely feel like I got something out of it.

I'd like to extend a big Thank You to Joe for setting the whole thing
up and guiding us through.

I think the plan is to run a similar kind of thing next year, but
we're planning on developing some companion material over the summer
and starting at the basics again - this time hopefully with material
that will engage a wider group of people and be more accessible. We
haven't decided exactly how that might work but an email will go out
later on in the year (after exams etc) to get people involved.

I hope everybody is well,
Giles

I second the thanks to Joe and extend it to the rest of you, who have
all (well, maybe not all of you, this is a public list, but if you think
you might have, then I mean you) had a part to play in my learning
experience!

See you over the summer,
Francis

Thanks to everybody who attended this year; I hope many of you will
come again next year (or even help us to improve it for next year!)

Special thanks to Giles and Francis who bore it out even to the edge of doom.

Joe

I didn't fully grasp all that was covered, but that didn't hinder my
interest whatsoever. Thanks everyone who put up with my lesser
understanding.

This was definitely one of the fonder memories I shall retain of university!

I wish you all the best, and hope that this is not my final farewell to
you all.

I can only speak with certainty for myself, but I don't think any of us
fully grasped it. However, the more different understandings you can
get together in a room (up to a point), the easier it becomes for
everyone, I think.

Do you know what you're doing next year? I'm not yet sure whether I'll
still be in Manchester myself, but I should find out in a week or two...

I'll be back down south in London. Where'll everyone else be?
