At the MSP discussion yesterday, it was decided that the predicted weather for launch was too severe to continue as scheduled.  The difficulty isn't so much setting the balloon off in the right conditions, it's also the time and complexity of inflating the balloon and assembling the payloads.  We need a good hour or two of windless and dry weather to be able to do this (once it's launched, the weather can be as windy as it likes  :) ).   We therefore  decided to postpone the launch for one week.

The new launch date, subject to the right weather conditions and predicted flight path, will be Sunday 8th October at the Macclesfield launch site.

We will also be undertaking a small rocketry experiment nearby - weather permitting.
