Small update, added a calendar (golly!)

Click on http://groups.google.com/group/manchester-gtug/web/home - or
copy & paste it into your browser's address bar if that doesn't work.

That's odd. Works for me. Altho the Calendar iframe seems not to be
there anymore ...

Will keep checking - thanks.

I've never done anything with Google Groups on the admin side, however my first thought is something to do with permissions maybe. Like I said, never looked at that side of groups before.

Hey folks

I know I know I've been a bit backwards in coming forwards but it's
already a month since our last get together.

Same time, same place, same venue.

Anyone have any preference on topics?

If not, we could continue with the physical book annotation
experiment:

- Google App Engine backend

- Android client

- QR code scanning

- URL space

Any takers?

cheers
dj

Fine with me. I'll be there.

I might show you something I've just started working on. It's an android app with the intention of showing MadLab information. It does basically nothing at the minute, but the idea is to release it's source so it can be used as a learning aid in the future. I just need some pointers on features thatcould be added, hopefully I can make it useful as well as ok for learning. It won't take up much time at all really.

Are we going to make a start on coding this book project? Would be good if we could get some of the backend coded after we've planned it out, I'd like to finally see how app engine works.

I'll see you all there!

That would be excellent, thanks Matt.

Yes, I think we could make a start on coding the book project.

Looking forward to seeing you all on Monday

Hey folks,

How long does the meet-up last? And is there anything for a non-techie
like myself?

Regards,

Adrian

Hi

It lasts as long as we want, really - usually around a couple of
hours. Of course there's stuff for non-techies - the agenda is open,
we can discuss whatever we want, you'll be more than welcome!

I've had a quick mess around with various ways of implementing the annotations I've come up with a few different approaches I'd like to discuss at the next meeting to see what the general consensus is.

Is it worth just commiting it and everyone else can take a look and see what its like. We can all work on it then.

sorry I've been on radio silence - unfortunately real life has
intervened in a rather nasty way this month, but the date is still on
(first Monday of every month). Will you be there?

cheers
