Allow me to revive this thread. While i like it to be easy to zoom to whole pixel sizes, it would make the user experience a lot more smooth, if you could zoom in/out gradually. You get a crisp look with whole pixels, but with an hd+ monitor eg. 150% can still look sharp.

Now when I zoom into project (when editing) by using mouse wheel I get jump between 51% and 143%, this makes it unusable. I need to zoom with more steps in between the 51 and 143 percent. How to configure these steps of zoom?

Interesting question - I set my Windows mouse settings to only move 1 step at a time with the trackwheel and I found that with different Miro boards I was getting different zoom increments ranging from 3-8%.

Thanks for the response. I might add that I am using Firefox on Ubuntu. It may not suit someone, but it serves me well. When I scroll webpage (eg this thread) I get small steps, the scroll jumps one or two lines at a time.

I have the problem on Ubuntu 22.04 with Chrome - zoom goes from 38% to 125%. My default browser is Firefox but Miro is unusable there. Way too many issues to list. In Chrome is works well this is the only problem I have.

Check your computer's system settings or control panel for mouse or touchpad settings. Look for options related to scrolling or zooming, as there might be settings to adjust the scroll wheel behavior or zoom sensitivity. Some applications, particularly image viewers or design software, may have specific settings for zooming behavior. Look for preferences or options within the application itself to fine-tune the zooming increments or sensitivity. Hold down certain keys while scrolling to achieve smaller zoom steps. For example, on some applications or devices, holding down the Ctrl or Shift key while scrolling the mouse wheel may result in finer zoom adjustments.

Using Chrome Version 114.0.5735.198 on a 2yr old Macbook Pro and a Logitech MX Master 3 mouse. When I zoom with the mouse wheel it jumps between 25% and 276%. Is there some fix or workaround for this? Does Miro at least acknowledge that this problem exists?

You can watch the zoom numbers in the top left popup and compare to yours. After playing with it for a bit it definitely feels less jarring per zoom step. Something like this could at least be added as separate zoom in option/shortcut. If you are on Linux I made an appimage if you want to try it out.

May I please introduce a problem which I am having? I am using Rhino 3 and have been for over a decade. I have replaced my computer several times. When I started using Rhino I loaded it on Windows XP, and now I use it with Windows 7. I have a problem which has shown itself off and on each time I load the software on a new computer. The problem is with the dynamic zoom when I roll the scroll wheel on my mouse.
My preference is that when I use the scroll wheel, the zoom will go directly to the spot where my cursor is, but often after reloading the software on a new computer, when I zoom with the wheel it goes to whatever is in the center of the viewport. It is very frustrating and adds time to my projects.
Is there anyone who had experienced this problem and found a remedy?

I still have the issue - I can't change the Scale Factor to whole numbers, 1 does'nt work, as established above, 2 turns the direction of the zoom to the opposite of what I'm used to. Secondly the zoom jumps in to large steps ... I'm working with Rhino 5,0 ... Hope someone can help - it is taking me to much time to work like this

This tutorial describes the steps you need to perform in both Zoom and Microsoft Entra ID to configure automatic user provisioning. When configured, Microsoft Entra ID automatically provisions and de-provisions users and groups to Zoom using the Microsoft Entra provisioning service. For important details on what this service does, how it works, and frequently asked questions, see Automate user provisioning and deprovisioning to SaaS applications with Microsoft Entra ID.

The Microsoft Entra provisioning service allows you to scope who will be provisioned based on assignment to the application and or based on attributes of the user / group. If you choose to scope who will be provisioned to your app based on assignment, you can use the following steps to assign users and groups to the application. If you choose to scope who will be provisioned based solely on attributes of the user or group, you can use a scoping filter as described here.

This section guides you through the steps to configure the Microsoft Entra provisioning service to create, update, and disable users and/or groups in TestApp based on user and/or group assignments in Microsoft Entra ID.

All traffic cases in Castle Rock Municipal Court are held by remote appearance using Zoom. Please read this page carefully, as this is a two-step process for most. If you are a defendant making your first appearance in court, you must complete both steps. If you are a victim, witness, attorney or observer, proceed to Step 2.

When you are working in Microsoft Paint, you may find yourself needing a closer look at your pictures or designs. Luckily, there are a few short cuts that you can use to zoom in that will quickly become second nature!

Another issue i'm experience is when I add the personalization token to the calendar tool contact.zoom_join_url , and then copy the output to the CTAs in the email, hubspot flags it as an issue because there is no default value set.

I know I could set a global default value, only issue with that is the whole point of this is it's personalized and a global default value won't work. Especially once we run this process again for a webinar in the future and the zoom webinar link will be entiretly different. Does that make sense?

Putting all things together, you have a property with an internal name like, for example, "zoom_join_url". The syntax for the token would be contact.zoom_join_url . You can now add this part with the curly brackets in the calendar tool:

I highly recommend always testing whether the calendar links work as expected. The easiest way to do this is by taking an existing contact that has a value for this zoom_join_url, and previewing the email for this contact. Click on the links and check the calendar invites.

Zooming in filmmaking refers to the technique of changing the focal length of a zoom lens, which allows a change of distance for different objects during a shot, giving more spaces for storytelling and expression. Dolly zoom, one variation of the zooming, was first conceived by photographer Robert Burks in Vertigo.

In the film, he made an object stay on the screen without a size change by moving the lens and zooming at the same time. Due to a perspective effect, the background will keep changing. Hence, we found that stairs in the film changed into a spooky space and directly sensed the dizziness and fear towards height for the hero.

In the past, to get a dolly zoom shot, the camera angle needs to be pulled away from a subject while the lens zooms in, or vice versa. Fortunately, DJI drones are equipped with a stable three-axis gimbal and camera featuring 4K HD resolution, which lets you make dolly zoom videos through easy post-production.

Zoom has been rapidly releasing updates for their desktop and mobile Zoom app, to improve security and ease of use. It is critical that you take steps regularly to keep your desktop Zoom app up to date, as Zoom rarely forces updates. Default settings for mobile devices keep apps installed from the App Store (iOS) and the Play Store (Android) up to date.

Yale University ITS recommends you follow these steps to keep your Zoom app up to date at least monthly. This ensures you are receiving patches for critical security flaws. Notable enhancements added in recent versions of the Zoom app include:

On Sunday, May 31, Zoom will be taking measures to forcibly upgrade any versions of the app below version 5. This will prevent anyone not using Zoom app version 5 or newer from joining new meetings. View steps to keep your Zoom app up to date to check your Zoom app version.

From paying for third-party services to using complex video editing software, we have seen multiple suggested workflows on the internet to edit a zoom recording. But we know a simple way and wanted to share it so that you can edit and repurpose Zoom recordings to get the most out of your work. Let's go!

For the uninitiated, Grain is a powerful tool designed to record, transcribe, clip and share the most important moments from your meetings as highlight clips. But what about the zoom recordings you have saved to Cloud or local drive? You can import/upload them too.

Launch Livestream Studio and log into your Vimeo account. Studio should auto-detect your laptop as an input source and display it in the multi-view. (If you don't see it, select the Inputs tab in the lower-left corner, then select Add Input > Local camera > your capture device. Here are some input troubleshooting steps). You can rename the source in the Inputs menu if you'd like.

You should generally follow the instructions Zoom provides here, but we'll clarify some steps specific to Vimeo below. Note that their instructions indicate that not all Zoom membership tiers support streaming.
