So Me and my friend were testing some of the older cores, I think melonDS is mostly updated. But... MelonDS core doesn't have a wireless feature like the standalone. When you try to use anything wireless, the screen just endlessly flashes... We were gonna play Tetris DS together. But with the RetroArch core, it's not possible. Do we have use a RetroArch hosted netplay? Or should we just use MelonDS, the standalone?
If anyone here has tried to run a DS game with an AR code after getting emulation set up with EmuDeck, you might have noticed that the cheats fail to actually activate no matter what you do. That's because, for some reason, the MelonDS core isn't able to run any cheats. While you could switch to using DeSmuMe, the MelonDS emulator seems to run better on the Steam Deck.
And that's it, you've created your pre-patched ROM, allowing you to get the cheats you want without having to worry about switching cores. Took me a while to figure all of this out, so I hope this helps people out. Good luck and have fun!
