I want to play Minecraft Bedrock edition on my Quest 2. Most tutorials I tried to follow mention I should download "Minecraft" on the Oculus Store. Alas I cannot find said download. It would seem it has been removed.

The Quest platform does not have an official Minecraft version. There are attempts being made by the community such as QuestCraft, which will modify the Java Edition of Minecraft (Bedrock is not viable for modding in this kind of scale), but there are only two officially supported VR versions of Minecraft.

The one you saw was one of them. If you look closely, you will see that the listing is not for the Quest platform, but rather the Gear VR, which was officially supported for a while. This version has been discontinued for a while, but since it was designed to run on a phone (GearVR was a kind of Google Cardboard clone made by Samsung in collaboration with Oculus), the APK is still out there. If you search for "minecraft gear vr apk" you might be able to find it. However, you will not be able to use the Oculus Touch controllers (the ones that came with the headset). Rather, you will have to use an XBOX controller instead. Don't ask me why this is, it's just that way.

Unfortunately, there is no way to play Minecraft VR on standalone. However, if you have a computer that can run VR, you can find the officially supported version of the Bedrock edition (or the community supported ViveCraft, which is a modification of the Java Edition).

I cannot find it, and I suspect that was the problem of the original poster as well. When I search "minecraft" at the oculus store there are no relevant results. (Oculus Quest 1 in my case)

Hey Owenie27! We understand your having issues with your headset. This is not the experience we want our customers to have and we would like to look into this more. If we could get you over to our support team by going here and following the prompts based on your issue you will be connected with one of our specialists who will be able to help you.

Hey there, @Real_Sensei_Wu. We can definitely understand how concerning it would be to find yourself unable to install the VR version of Minecraft, and we'd be glad to look into this for you! It doesn't look like we have Minecraft on our store, so you wouldn't be able to install this game from our store directly. Hopefully this information is helpful!

Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.

If I disconnect the cable and the oculus application, it will open like a ordinary minecraft. As soon as I connect the cable and the Oculus Quest 2 helmet, a red logo appears, a sveral mode is created in the helmet (this happens when you start any vr application), and the application immediately crashes. Everything for the oculus is installed and updated. Even the optional patch. all vr games works very well, except minecraft bedrock (for windows, not java)

i installed minecraft on another computer. so, I am seeing the same problem. on the first computer has official windows 11, intel core i 7 and rth 2060, the second Computer has official (but free) windows 10, old intel core ai 5 and gtx 1080.
