Alexander Library, Queens Park, Whanganui

August Pincer, game 3; Dust-Up, game 4; Pincer, game 5; Dust-Up.

* The missions have been chosen with speed of play in mind and closing with your opponent quickly.

* Infantry companies can struggle to complete games within the time period so unless you are an adept

and nimble footed player choose something with wheels and/or tracks to play with!

Weather conditions: We are looking at an easy to use option for covering the wintery weather conditions. Two games will be affected with ‘one winter effect’ chosen randomly, perhaps the two games after lunch.

Game-time:  Games are set to run for 70 minutes. A 10 minute countdown will sound warning gamers the end is nigh. At that point please determine with your opponent to either play on for a result or even up the phases and call the game there. All games will end after the final 10 minutes have counted down, regardless of the state of play. Slow players (insert ‘Grunt’ lists) beware, in fairness to other players.

Award categories: Prizes etc TBC as entry numbers and sponsorship will determine prizes.

·         1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

·         Best Themed Army (a modelling prize determined by TO vote).

·         Young Gun (under twenty one).

Scoring

Battlepoints using standard rules 80%

Sports (scored for each game) 10%

Army (Scored from criteria shown below) 10% - This is not the determinate of the ‘Best Themed Army’ prize, but a method to keep the standard of models fielded on the table accurate and visually ‘sweet’.

Battle points: Will be scored using the victory conditions for the missions indicated (above) from the rules book.

Sports scoring in each round:  Players will get maximum points for each game unless their ‘game card’ is marked otherwise from each the round.

Army:

Painting and basing criteria: 0-4 points
