Dear East Bay Friends & Family:

Fall is here and, what better way to welcome the season than to celebrate at the Fourth Annual East Bay Family Garba taking place on Saturday, October 6 from 4-7 PM in Oakland!  Navratri is the nine (nav) night (ratri) celebration of the goddesses Durga and Devi.  The resounding celebration of the strong, powerful, female spirit & life.  Tickets just went live and we're already half sold out!  We strongly encourage you to purchase tickets early.  This event has SOLD OUT with a waitlist every year!

A few of us East Bay families with small children offer this kid- and family-friendly space, right here in the East Bay and in a sizable venue (more space/less trampling!) to celebrate this important Hindu festival with the at-once graceful and rambunctious dance form, garba.  Garba is unique to the state of Gujarat and is a traditional Indian folk dance that all can learn and enjoy.
