Dear Sonal - Meenal,
Thank you so much for expressing and sharing your heart, through this beautiful poem. We love to share and translate this for our children and with our karyakartas of Ekatva. I was blessed to be a witness what you have expressed and was able to experience that evening all over again as i read this poem. What makes it the most beautiful thing about your poem is that you have captured the true essence, philosophy and vision of Manav Sadhna. "see the God in the children we love- serve".

A beautiful poem that our sister, Sonal, wrote for the children. Hope you can share it with the children and their families at some point.

I see God in your eyes

As we waited excitedly in the summer's cool shade
Laughter filled the air and the dhol played
The sun shone brightly from heaven above
But paled in comparison to the light of your love

As I see your faces I wonder if you realise
That I see God when I look into your eyes
Eyes that sparkle with a twinkle beyond compare
To feel such warmth and love is truly rare

I don’t know you very well – we’ve just had the chance to meet
I don’t know what you like to do or what you like to eat
I don't know where you live - just that we are far apart
But I do know that you have a spirit that touches my heart

You have a boundless energy that is with you wherever you go
You are kinder and richer than most people I know
For the treasure you carry can never be taken away
It is your attitude and your dignity - come what may

I didn't have the opportunity to tell you; I wish I had had the chance,
To mention to you that when I saw you, and when I watched you dance
That you filled my heart with joy - I wish I could explain to you
But no words will suffice – so I fold my hands and bow to the God in you
