Happy Navratri!! We are missing all of you during the festival season. We are excited about the interest and initiative volunteers across the globe have take for the Earn N Learn Christmas Card Campaign this year! If you want to read more about the Earn N Learn Christmas Card Campaign, details are listed below. You can also send individual orders from the card catalog, which is attached to the email. All individual orders must be in by November 30th and will be delivered to you by December 7th. Each packet includes 25 cards of the selected design with the selected greeting. The price includes the cost of shipping and handling. Each card is signed by the child who made it so you can go online and learn more about them.

Volunteer support and commitment have made this campaign possible for the last five years, strengthening and encouraging the heartfelt efforts of our Earn N Learn kiddos. And it is a way for everyone in our extended family to serve the children from your home base.
All of you are familiar with the Earn N Learn project, but I am still including a quick background and an explanation of how this grassroots, volunteer-driven, marketing effort works for new volunteers who are joining us this year.
About Earn N Learn
Earn N learn has been running for almost 14 years with the mission to give children who work on streets—shoe polishers, rag pickers and vendors—an alternative to income generation coupled with the opportunity to attend school. The children learn how to make greeting cards, paper bags and more out of handmade paper. Through the combination of a nurturing environment, mentorship, nutrition and tutorial programs, many of the children who have joined Earn NLearn have dramatically decreased habits such as chewing tobacco, swearing, fighting and worse. They have learned the value of hygiene, sanitation, working together, self-respect, hard work, creativity and much more. Most importantly, they recognize the importance of education. Logistics for Earn N Learn Christmas Card Sales:
We have faced challenges in maintaining a constant stream of orders to ensure sustainable work for the children. We are asking you to help strengthen Earn n Learn by taking the initiative to get Christmas card orders from friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, etc. Since it is not effective for us to send small orders to individual addresses, we are asking your help to centralize the process in your region. If you coordinate orders in your city, we can deliver the cards to you and ask that you help distribute them. We have been using this model and it has been successful so far.
If you send us an email confirming that you want to participate, we will send you the Build-Your-Own-Card 2012 catalogue, which includes 12 card designs, an excel sheet with an order form and an account-keeping template. The deadline for card orders will be November 30th and cards will be delivered to you by December 7th, after which you would distribute the cards according to the orders you have taken.
Cards come in packets of 25 and each package costs $30. This accounts for the cost of shipping and handling as well. Each card is signed by the child who made it so customers can go online and learn more about them.
