All,

Here is a Testimony of a Software Geek, who almost went to paralysis
state, just at his early thirties. The disease identified as
Demyelinating of Central Nervous System. Please refer below web pages
for more information about disease ...

------
I would like to present my case in which I benefited through
Pranayama, Yoga and Acupressure.

During First week of June, 2008, I have got sudden pain, numbness and
stiffness in both of my legs. It started as slight pain in thighs and
in a weeks time I almost couldn't walk. I was taken to hospital in
wheel chair. In addition to the pain in legs, I also had problem in
urinary bladder control, and slight problem in my vision. I was
admitted to Sagar Apollo Hospital. Initial MRI scans suggested that
there is a demylenation in spinal nerves. I was given course of
Steroid injections for 5 days. There were several tests done at Sagar
Apollo to find the cause of the problem. At the end there was no
conclusion and was told it is one of Multiple Sclerosis, NeuroMyelitic
Optica (NMO). But there was no definite conclusion. I was discharged
from Sagar Apollo after 10 days and I was able to walk with help of
Stand and very little improvement in other problems. And I was
prescribed a very high dosage of steroids and in total I was taking
about 10 types of medicines.

I met Mr. Manas in End of June 2008. He did acupressure on few points
on leg, which showed an immediate improvement in walking condition. I
continued with acupressure at home for some more points. Within few
days I had great recovery from the numbness and pains and I was able
to walk without any help.

As my diagnosis was incomplete, after few days, I decided to take
second opinion. I consulted doctors in NIMHANS in first week of July
2008. They asked me to get admitted for further examination. Just by
physical examination, they ruled out Multiple Sclerosis. After further
tests, it was finally diagnosed as Leukocytoclastic Vasculitis. After
looking at the MRI and the physical examination, the doctors were
surprised and said they never seen such an early recovery with such a
severe demylenation. And the steroid dosage was reduced to one third
of original dosage.

I hardly visited Mr Manas for 4 times so far and within 4 months I saw
recovery of almost 95%. And I started riding my Bike again since Sep
2008.

I attribute this to Pranayama and Acupressure. Thanks to Manas for
showing me the way. As I have seen the betterment, I continued
Pranayama since then. It became a part of my routine, and now I daily
spend about an hour and half for Yoga. Other than recovery from my
illness I am also enjoying other benefits of yoga: weight reduced by 8
Kg, fitness, flexibility, I am able touch my toes (never ever crossed
knees earlier). I was also able to control the side-effects that
steriords usually have like increase in sugar levels, fatness etc.,

If any of you had similar problems, I strongly suggest you to try
Pranyama. If you require any information, please contact me.

(Demyleniation means damage to the protective coating around nerves.
Because of this damage, the signals through nerves leaks and has an
effect on peripheral system especially on limbs. This generally
happens because of imbalance in immunity system --> As explained to me
by NIMHANS Doctor)
