Our Hindu Temple of Columbia is celebrating the annual Lord Srinivasa Kalyanam on Sunday June 2^nd 2013. This is one of biggest festivals our Temple celebrates and lot of volunteers are needed for various activities/items. It takes a community effort to make this event a success, and we encourage everyone to participate by clicking the below link to sign-up.

Lord Srinivasa Kalyanam is the Holy Wedding Ceremony of Lord Srinivasa (Balaji) with Sridevi (Padmavati) & Bhoodevi. The wedding ceremony is held amidst recitation of the Vedic mantras and pronouncing the family pedigree of the brides and bridegroom. Lord Brahma conducts the festival to honor the presiding deity of the Lord Srinivasa in Tirumalai, Tirupathi, on the banks of Holy Swamipushkarani, as a gratitude to Lord Narayana.
