Hi all
At the outset, I request everyone to please go through this mail with hell lot of patience.
Firstly, I thank everyone for your infinite cooperation and double infinite effort that you have put into our project.
Secondly, I think I need to say this one of us(guess who?) has decided to set his foot in politics. Let us all congratulate him for his bold decision as we are going to see a beautiful lotus in the pond soon.
Thirdly, I apologize taking the freedom of sending this mail to some of
your office id's and revealing some of your mobile numbers without your
permission.
Things to do:
1. We need a new PRO for the project as naresh will be going to Malaysia. Anyone please volunteer yourself for this.
2. Buying the textbooks for ourself before setting the next paper.
3. Next paper deadline is
20th October 2007. Format is 60 minutes, 45 Questions, 40 academic or GK 1 mark questions, 5 puzzles for 2 marks.
I tried to answer some of the previous mails and also put my points. please read thru this.
My answers & points:
Promise & Signature:1. Please add your signature as chandu said (it looks professional too)
2. I promise to keep up with the schedule next time.
Gifts & field work:3. Gifts (articles) as told by naresh could include books, uniforms, school fees...........(anything related to that student to complete that academic year)
4. Unemployed person as naresh mentioned should be educated (i mean atleast upto +2) and should be capable of handling the situations.
5. Providing facilities to school cannot be our concern at this moment as i feel it is not lack of facilities at that school but lack of teachers that is a main problem. believe me i have been there. (eg: even IIT's(MIT) asks for facilities if you are ready to provide)
6. As Naresh said, "Let us be concerned only with pupil and not facilities"
Question Papers:7. My suggestion about question papers is "Buy the Telugu Academy books of your corresponding class and one class less than that" and set the questions directly from those text books.
8. Everyone please stick to the format. This ensures uniformity among all papers. Next time format will be 45 questions for 60 minutes. In this 40 will be academic syllabus or GK only. 5 questions will be puzzles.
40*1 = 40 M and 5*2 = 10 M.
9.
Deadline for this paper submission is 20th October 2007. I know this is too early, but i feel it is quite possible for all of us to set the papers by that date.
10. You can even send scanned (reasonably understandable) hand written question papers. because, it has to be translated to telugu afterwards.
S
ponsoring a student:
11. We have already decided that we will sponsor the topper from 10th in our previous meetings. My suggestion is if we have contacts with some private colleges we can talk to them now and arrange for their education two years at a concessional rate and for higher education (greater than +2 we can even guide them to acquire loans either thru bank or person)
Contact Details:12. You can contact Naresh for the time being at
+91-99892-65364.

Hi,
First of all thanks for naresh for his great work. I am very happy for the fact that mana PEARL's event is started.
Next time all the question papers should be submitted by the members with in the dead line that is decided.
I am giving the commitment that next time there won't be any delay from my side. I hope all the members will give the same commitment.
I have a suggestion...
Next time we will set the paper first and we will show all the papers to the respective class teachers. So, he / she will modify, if there are any out of syllabus questions.
What do you think?? Give your suggestion.
I thank once again the efforts of naresh, shankar and each member caused for the initiation of mana PEARL.
Regards

Hi Everybody,
We started our work for the first time in the school. The result as most of us know is a mixture of both problems and solutions. I am giving a brief update of what happened at the school.
This month Naresh went to the school. His experience as told to me. He has taken the responsibility of getting the question papers ready as most of us gave him at the last moment. He has to work for 4 continuous days to get the question papers ready for getting xeroxed. He went to the school with all the hopes to give the paper. but when the principal saw the paper he replied "the papers contain uncovered syllabus". So, he is shocked and taken back by the remark of the principal. since all the papers(most) are out of syllabus. They decided not to conduct the exam now but in the month of December. So, for now he has distributed small gifts he bought for the students. He selected two students (one topper, second EBC) from each class based on unit test conducted last month and gave them some prizes. This amounted to a amount of Rs. 3270/- refer

for more details
Feedback:
1. Most of the people(teachers) are against giving money and suggested to give them gifts every three months.
2. Some proposed to give only Rs. 100/- for each student and buy them articles they need for their studies for other amount.
3. Most papers are out of syllabus. They are expecting most questions to be from the text books. (My proposal is next give all the questions directly from text books except for 5 questions. 5/40 is a reasonable number)
Naresh's Feedback:
1. He had to put a lot of work into the preparation of papers. It is not possible if some one else is coming just before one day and he wants to conduct the exam.
2. we can have one local unemployed youth who can conduct the exam and it will be usefull in the long run if we are undertaking more schools.
3. The H.M is asking for some financial support to provide facilities to the school. My personal opinion is we are only concerned about the education of the pupil
4.We can sponser one student who topped in the 10th class, his tution fees(GOVT. college) in Intermediate.
5.Teacher are suggesting to provide some uniforms to bright EBC pupil without paying any money.
** MY SUGGESTION IS PLEASE TAKE THIS AS A VERY IMPORTANT JOB AND NOT LIKE YOUR PROJECT (Just kidding) **
