Hello all,

Breaking the license on our new mailing list!

Yesterday evening I uploaded the 0.5.1 release of our client, based on
the last commit to the 0.5 branch. I've also posted a short notice on
http://manasource.org/ about it. I hope this release will allow us to
finally get an updated client packaged into Debian, and later also
Ubuntu. I also hope that this release can be used to make a new
official The Mana World client to replace the aging 0.0.29.1 release
on that website.

Looking forward, the 0.5 branch is closed for anything but critical
fixes (fixes for bugs that prevent either of the above to happen, for
example). If there is interest in another tmwAthena-only release
before we get to 1.0 I propose we make a new branch from master and
call it 0.6, and release that after disabling manaserv. However,
please focus on those things that need to be done for 1.0.

Most of those things seem to actually relate to manaserv
functionality. While any kind of progress is nice to see, there are
currently some very important features not working at all. For example
I'm failing to attack any monsters and I don't seem to be able to
equip anything. Let's all try to make this our focus. Let's make
testing.manasource.org a playable environment and let's allow
Invertika to switch from their old "stable" version of manaserv to the
latest master branch!

Best regards,
Bjørn
