A 14-month-old girl was found badly beaten near this playground on Chudley Street Tuesday
morning.
(CBC) A 19-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder and abduction after a brutal
beating of a toddler in Winnipeg early Tuesday.
The 14-month-old girl was attacked around 4:30 a.m. CT near a Manitoba Housing complex and
playground on Chudley Street.
The woman charged, Nikita Solange Eaglestick, and the girl are not related, Winnipeg police
said.
Police allege the girl was taken from a home in the 100 block of Gilbert Avenue and assaulted.
The attacker ran off when a man came to see what was happening. Tyler Bilsborrow is now being
hailed as a hero by people in the neighbourhood.
Tyler Bilsborrow is being hailed as a hero for intervening in the assault on the toddler.
(CBC)He was having a cigarette outside his home on Chudley Street when he heard screams and went
to look. He saw a woman slamming something against the sidewalk.
Bilsborrow wrapped the child in his sweater and held it until emergency crews arrived. He said
emergency crews have told him the girl would surely have died had he not intervened.
The condition of the girl, who was initially rushed to hospital in serious condition, has
improved. She is now listed as stable, police said.
Const. Jason Michalyshen said Eaglestick was drinking at a party at the residence of the child's
parents prior to the assault, but police have not yet identified any potential motive for the
attack against the girl.
"That is something that we're all kind of scratching our heads right now to try and figure out,"
Michalyshen said. "Our investigators spent the majority of the day interviewing witnesses -
individuals that may possess valuable information with regards to the investigation."
Eaglestick remains in custody.

The facts are again and you should stop making excuses on this women's
violence that is out of control and running wild in the USA and Canada.
People have to stop their women's violence for the safety of all those
children.
Lock the idiot up for about 15 years or more...preferably in solitary
confinement.

She's in police custody so she's no risk to the USA.
btw...did you miss my statement above? "she was drunk and or high or both which
is no excuse. " I thought you did, now go take your meds.
Considering that natives are way over represented in the jails, the racism
defense evidently doesn't work very well these days.
good... as one more violent women in the streets is just too much...I say
let's make a camp where all these violent women would be forced to go and
deal with their violence of harming of children. Now PMS is a good reason to
incarcerate women for the violence that could be committed at that time of
the month.

now, now, if this issue of women being violent offends you, then have you
thought about seeing if you too could be a violent women and if you are,
then maybe you need to be placed into a camp for violent women, as you could
harm children too.
