Man United legend Wayne Rooney has urged Kylian Mbappe to join Man United or Real Madrid to reach the heights of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappe has been a very great player for Paris Saint-Germain for the past four years. He scored 190 goals and provided 93 assists in just 190 appearances in all competitions. In this year's World Cup, Mbappe was too impressed when he won the title of top scorer with 8 goals, including a hat-trick in the final against Argentina.
The 23-year-old is clearly one of the top players in world football at the moment, but Rooney believes he needs to leave Les Parisiens for Man United or Madrid to take the next step.
Rooney told Sports 18: "I think Mbappe needs to leave PSG and go to the Premier League. PSG is a big club, but I think he has done everything he can in Ligue 1.
It could be Man United or Real Madrid. If Mbappe wants to reach the level of Messi and Ronaldo, I think he needs to join Man United or Real Madrid."
Mbappe used to be very close to Real but he changed his mind at the last minute, to extend his contract with PSG. Meanwhile, Man United has repeatedly been linked with the French superstar.
