According to Daily Mail, Man United coach Erik ten Hag asked Anthony Martial to train separately to improve his fitness.
The French star fell ill last month, before Man United 's 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth on December 9. According to the Daily Mail, Martial has not trained with the Red Devils' first team since then. A number of other Man United players have suffered from this disease, but only Martial has not fully recovered physically.

The report said that Ten Hag's decision to let Martial practice alone was not because of disciplinary issues. The Dutch strategist just wants the former Monaco striker to make more efforts to ensure his match fitness, like Jadon Sancho in the past. Accordingly, Martial will not be considered for selection until he meets the standards.
Some sources claim that the Red Devils have made it clear that the 28-year-old has no future at Old Trafford. Martial's contract with Man United expires at the end of the season and will not be offered a contract extension. They are even willing to sell him in this January transfer window. However, Martial rejected interest from clubs Marseille, Fenerbahce and Saudi Arabia.
