Basicallyno operating system will recognize my S24 Ultra. No issues what so ever with my S23 Ultra, I have not shipped the trade-in. Need the phone for personal use and development at work. I'm developing and testing mobile app for both Android and IOS. The Windows 10, 11 and Linux systems that I use at home also have this issue with the S24 Ultra.

1. navigate to windows control panel and launch device manager.

2. locate the Samsung Android Device in error.

3. right click on the android device and select update driver.

4. select the option browse for drivers on your computer.

5. select the option "let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

6. scroll down the list until you find the Samsung android device.

7. select the Samsung android device.

And it just stopped working again. Supported OS's won't recognize the device. Ah well, its an awesome phone love everything about it except this problem. Going back to my S23 Ultra for a while. thanks for the support though, it is appreciated.

The Windows installer (from windows.iso) begins without trouble from its DVD. I install "Custom" (as I can't "Upgrade" with a clean SSD). When it asks "Where do you want to install Windows?" it warns, "We couldn't find any drives. To get a storage driver, click Load driver". Selecting Load Driver prompts, "To install the device driver for your drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files".

On initial boot, everything seems to be working fine, audio is playing. After running Windows Update (installing a whole list of updates) and Samsung Update (BIOS update) and restarting, audio stops working. After restart, Samsung Update does show an audio driver update, but installing/updating the audio driver via Samsung Update fails. Manual download and installation of the driver from Samsung Update does nothing either. Windows update says everything is updated, no new updates available.

When I use Windows' Troubleshoot Audio Problems (which takes forever), it says, "Restart your PC to finish installing drivers and updates", which does not solve the problem. Running the Troubleshooter again returns "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".

When I go to Device Manager, a red/yellow triangle is shown by the Intel Smart Sound Technology BUS. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the drivers, as well as disabling and uninstalling and reinstalling the device, all the while restarting in between. In Device Manager Properties for the Intel Smart Sound Technology BUS, under Device Status, it says the following:

In the end, I gave a clean install of Windows a try, completely resetting the laptop back to factory settings, but that didn't solve the problem either. Nothing I can think of solves the problem. Looked all over online, found nothing that describes or solves the issue. Anybody know what to do?

P.s.: Ran into more trouble. See this thread. The thing won't shut down. Unbelievable. About to give up and simply return it. This is absurd. Paid 1500 euros for this! Samsung customer service on the phone didn't know what to do and referred me to social media (??). Reached out to Samsung customer service via Twitter. Responded to my message once in the last 48 hours with no helpful info so far. Very disappointed.

I uninstalled every device related to audio, as marked in red in the screenshot below. Whenever prompted to "attempt to remove the driver for this device", I did so. After that, I rebooted the laptop and then used Samsung Update to reinstall the audio driver. This restored audio. Hope it works for you too. Let me know. Good luck

Anyone else found a real solution for this? Any word from samsung? It isn't right to let a 'pro' piece of hardware go without working speakers. THis is the flagship of the Samsung computers?? Need a fix. Want speakers !!

afraid to say same issue on galaxy 360 pro, was hoping it would of been fixed by now but no joy, the issue is the driver and a roll back to previous one works fine but every time you update it goes bad again,

I cannot say THANK YOU enough!! I paid for tech support virutally, remoted in to my computer, and took it in person and between all of that 5 different people could not figure out how to fix it. The recommendation was to return it and purchase a new laptop. I did what you did and in less than 5 mins the speakers were working again. YAY!! lol .... again, thank you!

So I reset my device to MTP mode & debug mode again to check if it still would be recognised by adb for some reason. It definitly doesn't get recognised by adb when it's in MTP-mode. I don't know how it got recognised some days ago, because I never setmy device to PTP-mode. Anyway, the solution to my problem is that my Nexus 4 must be in PTP-Mode and of course in debug-mode to get recognised by adb.

Generally, I think your USB connection should be set to use MTP (Media Transfer), however, I couldn't get my computer to recognize my device (Nexus 4). Oddly, setting the USB connection to Camera got it working for me.

4) If yes, then ADB have been successfully detected at this point. Next, write "adb reboot bootloader" to open the bootloader. At this point check Device Manager under "Android Devices", you will find "Android Bootlaoder Interface". Its not much important to us actually.

It may sound silly but in my case the USB cable was too long (even if good quality). It worked with my tablet but not with the phone. To check this, if you run on Linux run lsusb to make sure that your device is at least officially connect to the usb port.

Fundamentally, the issue has to do with not being able to get MTP+ADB working while for example PTP+ADB may work. In my case when I plugged Nexus 5, windows 7 will install only MTP driver completely ignoring ADB. I couldn't find a good solution for this problem anywhere else so here I provide steps (some of the steps I copied from other sources):

3) Now delete old cached Google *.inf files. Open a Windows Explorer and navigate to the C:\Windows\INF directory. Somewhere in there there is an "oemN.inf" file (where N is a number that will vary on your system) that is a copy of the android_usb.inf -- the thing to do is to find which file and remove it. Windows keeps a cache of the INF files here and what we found is that sometimes an older cached copy is used instead of a newer version.

One simple way to find which one using the Windows Explorer:- In the explorer's Search box, enter "androidwinusb86.cat" without the quotes.- Typically the search will be empty because no filename has this pattern.- Go to Tools/Folder Options, click Search Tab and click Always search file name and contents. Click Apply- Search again. This time it should list a few files such as "oem90.inf" (you'll have one or more, with different numbers).

4) We now want to disable installation of MTP by windows before windows discovers ADB. Now search for wpdmtp.* files in the same directory. Presence of these files will force install MTP disregarding ADB class in the same (composite) device. Move these files out of \inf folder

Make sure you are connecting with a USB and not a lightning cable. I had this problem trying to connect using a cord with lightning cables on both ends and it would not list the device. But switching to a USB to lightning cable worked.

Find drivers for your device and install themThat will be the end of your device not detected problemsWindows have driver problems, sometimes messed by overriding the existing driver

I tried all these, but nothing worked. Finally, I changed my old data connection USB-c cable, to a new one. Maybe with updates of windows/android studio, the older USB-c protocols are no longer recognized for transfer.

I just finished my fist own Pc build on a Maximus Z790 Hero and i have the following Problem:

I have 3 M.2 SSDs in my PC (WD_Black SN850X 1TB; Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB), and in bios and device manager i see all three, but in windows i see only the 1TB ones, the 990 Pro doesnt show for some reason.

I#ve already tried a lot of stuff but i cant find it. I tried swapping the M.2 slots, wich didnt change anything. I looked in Disk Management, but it doesnt appear there as well. But i can find it in CrystalDiskInfo, where ist shows 100% Status and zero reads and writes. But it also shows no Drive Letter.

I really dont know what else to try or if there is a realy seay solution to my problem. Its my first pc that im setting up, but everything esle worked just fine, except this one thing. I really hope someone can help me out.

Hello again, after updating the drivers make sure you restart your computer and then you should have a bar like in the image belown in disk management, instead of blue like the rest of your drives it has a black bar, if it's there simply right click ---> New Simple Volume ----> Next ----> Next ----> Assign a letter and press Next again ----> Next ----> Finish.

Now if you don't have a black bar drive like the one shown in the image, make sure your motherboard BIOS are updated. If that still doesn't make it pop up, try this article i found which has a variety of solutions: -ssd-not-initialized-8523.html

Side note: The fact that you can't see it in file explorer means the drive has no partition, which is normal for a fresh drive, once you create a partition it should pop right up in File Explorer. My best guess is your 990 Pro is alive and kickin' and just needs a partition to be created (assign volume as stated above etc etc)
