Dear Principals and Coordinating Faculty members,

Wishing you a great year ahead ! 2014  will be bring all of us many successes.

Bharathidasan Institute of Technology, Anna University Regional Centre, Tiruchirappalli,  organized one day workshop on 29.01.2014 for the Coordinators - Quality Improvement Cell.

Thank you all very much appreciate the time you devoted to participating in this  workshop. We hope  that you initiated the establishment of QIC in your college.

To meet out the objective of QIC during the workshop, we have got assurance from you that you will start the following activities in your college.

1.      To create awareness and motivate  the faculty and students to utilize the following facilities

a.      NPTEL videos by IIT

b.      Bridge Course CDs are given through DOTE

c.       Edusat Classes by CFD

d.      Spoken Tutorial by IIT – Bombay (Through NMEICT)

e.      MOOC- various courses like courseera MIT freeware etc.,

2.      To maintain and submit the log book about the utilization of the above mentioned facilities periodically to the nodal center in the given format.

3.      To utilize free time even after college hours

The awareness workshop is completed, it is a must that each college should do atleast one Software training session for each department by February 2014.

For this, your college needs to select and allot only one 2 hour time slot with any dept. students on any day and can select any software.... Scilab or C or Python or Linux or anything. Once you confirm this slot, from then on we will be in constant touch and help the college with any and everything.

We expect that you send us the name of the selected FOSS software and date on which you are scheduling your first workshop in your college. The attachments along with will help you to spread awareness among your students and colleagues.

It is your college coordinator's responsibility to ensure they use these links given below for registering, requesting training and downloading Spoken Tutorials.
